Is your Citrine natural or heat-treated?

At Brazil Gems®, we clearly identify our Citrine so you know exactly what you're purchasing.

Most of the Citrine available on today's market, including much of the material mined in Brazil, is created by heating natural Amethyst. This process brings out the beautiful golden-yellow to amber colors that customers associate with Citrine.

Heat treatment does not make the crystal fake. It remains a genuine quartz crystal formed by nature, with only its color altered through heat. Whenever applicable, we disclose whether a piece is natural Citrine or heat-treated Citrine in the product description.

Each half formed naturally inside a volcanic cavity over millions of years before skilled artisans in Brazil cut and polish the geode to reveal its sparkling crystals.
