The base may contain natural imperfections as well as imperfections, repairs and broken edges from the extraction, polishing, and prepping processes and the branches and leaf gemstones may contain imperfections as well. To allow for it to stand on its own the amethyst cluster base may have a small amount of cement added to the bottom then painted black. At Brazil Gems® we make every effort to get measurements as exact as possible but they are done by human hands and eyes and therefore may have minor discrepancies.
